Home Births Why Choose A Home Birth? First, as you labor at home, you will be free to continue with your normal activities for as long as you are able; walking as you feel comfortable, resting when you choose, eating and drinking normally, and enjoying the relaxation of a warm bath or a hot shower without restrictions. Second, giving birth at home means having the freedom to choose who will be present at the birth of your baby. Whether you want the birth to be an intimate experience or a gala celebration, the choice is up to you. Third, choosing a home birth means freedom from typical hospital procedures, including constant fetal monitoring, IV’s and the three E’s: Enemas, Epidurals and Episotomies.
